And happy to stay on that list. I'm sending this to my daughter. It is all so obvious, but sometimes the obvious blows right by us. We don't have to say Yes to everything. Sandra Oh's line was on point. Being able to turn things down - having that privilege - is incredibly powerful and freeing.

Aww love that! And agreed, so obvious yet so difficult in the moment.

Sandra Oh is a legend. She’s so talented and if you have the time, I recommend the full 5 minute interview where she talks about showing up to the first audition in scrubs cause as she said, “I go all out with my auditions!”

The more heart you put into your work, passions, etc. the more discerning you need to be about getting what you want from them.

100% agree it’s a freeing way to live!

I didn't know there was a story behind this! I'm so proud of you for asking for what you wanted.

Hell yes! Surprisingly hard to do at times but when you quiet everything down and listen to your intuition it also feels natural.

Thanks, Becky! Same here. My editing experience was very positive. I got to read so many great essays and I learned a ton in the process.
