Hey Alexandra! I just want to pop by and say I love your writing - super real and honest! I feel like I'm learning & getting to know you at the same time!
I've been running my cohort for 1.5 years now and I've been adding frameworks to help me explain - I can say it really helps my students to quickly grasp & execute because they can see all the "parts"! So I can't agree more with what you said here!
Hey Kevon, thanks for popping by! The kind words mean a lot. I've learned a TON from following your journey (how to build in public, how to stay authentic, how to find joy in every process, etc).
I've a question on your framework. Do you believe in weaving marketing into the course creation process ? In theory this should help validate the need. Most other method's I've seen include a landing page creation etc.
Great question! Yes, I 100% recommend weaving marketing into the process from the get-go. In fact, a large part of the first phase (define course concept) relies on market validation. Pre-selling the course using a landing page is a critical step in that phase.
I will elaborate more on this over the next two weeks.
The reasons I decided not to distinguish marketing, operations, and learning design within the high-level overview are twofold:
1. I didn't want to overwhelm clients. I wanted to ease them into it. As a next step, I break down where marketing, operations, and learning design come into play in each phase.
2. I also wanted the framework to be useful for new course designers (who have been mandated to build a course based on a concept that has already been validated). Because ultimately, it's the same process. There are just different underlying steps.
Please feel free to share any additional questions or feedback. I appreciate the insights!
Thank you, and look forward to sharing more details next week.
Thank you, Eric! That's so great to hear. It's made a HUGE difference with clients.
It all comes down to the learning principle of "making thinking visual." Without visuals, it can be difficult for others to construct how our thoughts fit together.

I'm glad the framework is relatable too!
Staying tuned...!
Thanks, Simone. Look forward to hearing what you think when the time comes!

Thank you, Catalina! That's rewarding to hear. That's been my goal, so thank you for that validation. Means a lot!
This is exactly the post I needed today.
Awesome, Charlie! Love when synchronicity comes into play. Thanks for sharing.

Alexandra- this is brilliant inspiration for exactly what I need to do! You’ve distilled a framework that’s so useful - and practical. Thank you
