My favorite restorative exercise is rowing a single scull. I'm certainly not heading for the Olympics, but gliding over glassy water at dawn does something wonderful for both body and soul.

Very much agree…the effect of water is always so calming.

Really miss living by the river!

Great shots of the lake 😊

Great photos. Even though I am long retired, I always find something to relate to in your newsletter.

Thanks, Mary Lou! Hard to take a bad photo of such a beautiful back drop. So glad you enjoy it. :)

Those are absolutely gorgeous photos and they were having the right effect on me just by looking at them on my computer. We live near the ocean and even though there are plenty of directions for bike rides, I always find myself gravitating toward the shoreline. This explains it. I'm assuming the lake photos are yours, and if so, I'm curious what you took them with.

Thanks, Rick! The photos are indeed mine and I took them on my iPhone. I often use the auto 🪄button to brighten photos or ocassionally crop some. I’ve always been interested in photography though so someday I would love to try out a proper camera! Also, I feel you on gravitating to the water. Whether I was living in Paris or Syndey, I always wound up walking by the water. :)

That is crazy that these were just taken on an iphone. I have to try the auto button!
