"....But who you become in learning to climb it? That will stay with you forever. That is the point of the mountain.” I know cases that they became frustrated individuals and leveraging the learning after the climb was not possible. From the observer point of view, if you became stronger after this experience that might mean that your are the winner. It is not a given thing, it needs a lot of work, including self-awareness. Congrates, Alexandra! I can't be more grateful to meet you on my path.
What you learned speaks to your commitment to the process. I wonder if it's even possible not to learn a ton from going 100% in with whatever you're doing. If there's anything I've learned from looking for a path with purpose, it's going to be unique. I think it was Joseph Campbell who said, "If the path ahead is clear to you, it's probably somebody else's."

That's an instant classic my friend! I love that Campbell quote as well.
You're also spot on about the higher the stakes, the greater the learning.
Lastly, your mention of "commitment to the process" strikes me as synchronistic because I've just resumed reading a George Harrison bio I started a few months back and it's fascinating to read about how many setbacks the Beatles had on their journey to unthinkable success. At times, things were so bleak they thought they were done but as you've said, it all played into the process.
I love those backstories about the perseverance of legends that look like they just naturally and effortlessly slid into their success. What's the bio called?
Absolutely, embracing the process and going all in can lead to such valuable insights and growth. Each person’s journey is indeed unique and full of lessons. Keep following your path with purpose.

Thank you so much, Agnieszka! Great point. It's all about framing and attitude. Likewise, I'm grateful our paths crossed. :)
Love that you choose to see the positives of your ‘journey’. So important in quest for happiness, success and gratification
100%. You're an inspiring example of that, Mary Lou! :)

Same! Makes the ending so much more magical. It’s called George Harrison, The Reluctant Beatle by Philip Norman. It’s a new one.
Thanks!
Great job! Keep up the good work!
That sounds really interesting! I always find those kinds of stories inspiring.
