Thanks, Gwyn! It's been a massive learning curve but as a learning junkie, I'm enjoying the discovery process through trial and error. :)

Great information as always! I know I need to work on my "TTH" specifically. As a marketing guy, I should know better, but I find myself completely ignoring those aspects.

Thanks, James! I haven’t totally nailed the process down either. I especially struggle with the thumbnail because I usually (and by usually I mean my last 2 videos 😅) just snap a quick pic after recording and then add some text over it.

Going forward though, I’m trying to visualize how I could be more creative with this. But it’s something I’ll learn in time, the key thing is I’m moving forward regardless and so are you! 🙌🏼

Ha, that's exactly my attempt as well! I should probably work on getting a "template" of some form set up in Canva that can streamline the process.

Yes! Canva’s great — there’s even a “YouTube thumbnail” template. The photos I take on my phone are never the perfect dimensions but at least it helps me crop them.

Thanks, ZENish! Overthinking has been a barrier for me as well and likewise I cringe watching myself on camera but the reality is we’re often over critical when it comes to evaluating ourselves.

That’s when I stop myself and reframe the question as “would I rather be temporarily uncomfortable to eventually get good at this or forego trying?” The latter is usually the red flag that “I’ll regret not trying” and that pushes me to get out of my comfort zone.

This newsletter itself was intimidating to start. And there were many editions I laboured over and still felt nervous hitting publish. But over time, I’ve improved and I know I’ll keep improving. It all comes down to attitude + putting in the reps. That’s the essence of learning. 😊
