That Will Smith meme is so funny and true. Next year I plan to find some cozy twinkling year-round lights that I can put up. Not everywhere, maybe just in two rooms, but I'm already looking forward to it.
It really does feel like you’re emptying a room rather than just taking decorations down. It’s like “was this it?!” 😂
I’ve seen some cool year-round lights at other peoples’ places and I also love (and have) the lights you put in a bottle. I got the idea from a restaurant in Maine. They use wine bottles and other cool shaped ones as center pieces and they look super elegant all year around.
I can’t upload a pic of my tree but I had decorated it with white lights and glittery rose gold poinsettia flowers and some gold Eiffel towers that were gifted to me.
It was really pretty with general winter charm. ✨❄️
Thanks, Matt! Means a lot. And hell yes “once a mentor, always a mentor.” It was epic being your co-pilot my first go at mentoring. The Florida palms were a bonus backdrop of good vibes. 😎

I was introduced to the kings cake by a Canadian friend and totally agree it’s a lovely thing to look forward to in Jan! 🤩
That’s awesome! I love it and really does kick off the new year with fresh energy and coziness combined.
So I gotta know... what are unconventional ornaments?
Nothing overly unconventional! 😂
I just mean not your typical Christmas ornaments.

Oh, that's not too crazy then! Sounds nice!
It's been fun to watch your writing continue to evolve. You seem much more comfortable writing from the personal level and your work is richer for it!
(Sorry, but, once a mentor, always a mentor). Happy new year.
