The lessons students learn from your course curriculum may serve them indefinitely. But the ones they learn from your "hidden curriculum" are guaranteed to serve them throughout their careers.
Don't know where to start. "Hidden curriculum ", but the Ishan, Janahan and comments back are some of my favourite reads this week (and the student dialing in from the Metro!)
I'm thinking about the "hidden curriculum" as..."vibe-container-as-a-service." What can I do to elicit helpful emotional states for students, that they can carry with them in their daily lives?
I really like this concept of a hidden curriculum. I'm going to be giving this some thought, but it occurs to me if I become aware of my hidden curriculum it isn't hidden anymore, but explicit. At least for me. But it's an interesting exercise to consider what things I might hope rub off on students that aren't overtly stated or taught.

Thanks, Karena! I felt the same way writing this edition—wasn’t sure where to start. So many gems to share! 😊

Love that frame, Christin! I consider you an all-star at teeing up hidden curriculums. 🌟 💛

Great way to think about it, Rick! Glad it speaks to you. 😊
Wow...it is going to be hard to wipe this smile off my face! Thanks yaar :)
I LOVE this idea of a hidden curriculum... I know what I am going to think about this week! Great issue Alexandra.
Thanks yaar - glad it prompted reflection! Thanks for inspiring me as well. 😊
