Wow that was a very Canadian gender reveal! Always love reading your work Alexandra!

haha, right? The pic you tweeted recently of your "walk on water" was along the same vibe. You'd make a good Canadian lol.

Thanks for reading, always appreciate you stopping by! :)

Love! Congats on 64 weeks. I love the line, "My dad was confused." :)

Back at you, Simone! I'm just keeping pace with you so I appreciate you leading the charge. :)

And lol, I realized then that gender reveals are very much an Instagram trend so most of our dads have zero clue what they entail, haha.

64! congratulations! That's inspiring to all of us newbies.

Thanks, Susan. Seems like a crazy number when I think of it but I just took it one week at a time.

I’m confident yours will stack up fast if you do the same. :)

I love your use of “magic beans.” You're dropping some valuable insight as always.

I hope this helps inspire more people to write.😌

Also, 64 weeks??! My goodness. You are an unstoppable force.

Like truly, I don't think you can be stopped. Congrats and keep going!!✨

Thanks, Sandra! Glad the magic beans stuck the landing, I wasn’t sure everyone would get it, haha.

And likewise, I hope more people are inspired to write.

You’re on quite the streak yourself! 🔥

I love "crown yourself first"! Very timely as I'm just now doing that publicly by declaring myself a writer. Wohoo. I hope great things happen for you in the new year Alexandra. Thanks for your encouragement.

That’s awesome, Rick! I also felt timid referring to myself as a writer at first. But now I’m proud to declare myself one. It emboldens me to work harder at being a good writer.

Likewise, thanks for the encouragement and look forward to seeing you crush more goals in 2023!

Love this! Great analogy, and I love that Canadians are so on brand with their gender reveals.

I didn't start calling myself a creator or writer until the last couple months. Someone else in Write of Passage used the word to describe me early on and I was like "whoa!" complete mindset shift. I see how I present myself much more confidently to others now that I've embraced it (even though I feel like I'm still a baby).

I felt the same when I started writing last year and still feel like a baby to an extent, haha. I guess that’s a good thing though, as it makes us hungrier to learn and improve.

I also had the same feeling mentoring my first Write of Passage cohort. I almost didn’t apply because I didn’t think I was fully “qualified” but I’m glad I did. It was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve ever had.

Congratulations on the 64 week streak! I liked the distinction you made between habit vs. ritual.

Thanks, Arman! I've taken things week by week so it's cool to see the reps stacking up.

Glad the distinction resonates! :)

Congrats on the streak! Also, love the idea of crowning yourself. This year I'm crowning myself as a podcaster. Fingers crossed. 🤞

Thanks, Randy. And I love that! Being a podcaster looks like so much fun, I'm sure you'll have a blast and learn a ton in the process.

I had aimed to start one around summer but I only recorded one episode (which I had to re-record because the original one bugged lol). I got overwhelmed with other projects but definitely want to pick it up again in the future.

Now I'll know who to go to for tips when the times comes! 😊

Thank you, Tey!! It's been even more rewarding than I had anticipated when I first got back into writing. Finding the right ritual has been a huge component.

Thank you for being a supporter though all 64 editions. Wishing you a very happy new year!! Look forward to more fun collaborations in 2023. 😊

Man I really need to schedule my writing haha. Great edition. I will forward this to people who I think need a writing habit. Also if you ever get stuck on book recommendations I’d love to help.

No judgement here. I just got home after four nights away and did zero writing in that time. I had to scramble to get this out hence the 12:50am send off, haha.

And thank you, you'll be my go-to next time! Should've figured bookshop owner + new parent = source of good book recommendations.

Thanks for forwarding this on!
