This is great, Alexandra. Assets sounds like such a perfunctory way to describe the incredible amount of value, personality and skill you've imparted in what you've created.
But I do like the simplicity of assets generating surprising returns. I'm so glad you're still putting smiles on people's faces by teaching them how to share their own assets. Love this!
Thanks, Becky! Great question. I need to create some sort of dashboard (as I do for projects). I used to have a Linktree but I’m thinking potentially a Notion page that I could use as a personal website (since my actual one is totally out of date 😅) or I could update my website (which is probably best but feels harder).
Funny you mention Gumroad as I sold my first ever digital project (a course-building worksheet that I forgot to mention in this post) and also had a free course-building cheat sheet on there. I no longer share links to either and haven’t for a couple of years but now and then I get emails that people have downloaded them. No idea how they find them!
This seems so obvious now that you've broken it down, but that asset list is right on the money and so useful. Thankfully, I've been moving in the right direction with these, though Linkedin, and a course are yet to be added to the picture for me. Thanks for this simple framework.
Thanks, Rick! Glad the list is useful. A couple of things worth noting:
1. Courses are great to test and refine material. So even though running things live is a huge lift, if you absorb feedback throughout and iterate, you can convert most (if not all) elements into self-paced content and exercises down the road (and repurpose them left and right).
2. I’m currently struggling to find a popular LinkedIn post I wrote at least a year ago and having checked Reddit and contacted LinkedIn support, it seems posts are only searchable within the last 12 months. I’m still troubleshooting but all this to say, don’t post anything substantial on LinkedIn without saving it elsewhere or you’ll end up in my position unable to find it. 😅

Thanks so much, Eric! Means a lot. 😊
This is such a great idea! Where do you house your assets? Is it on an About page somewhere or a Gumroad?

Excellent shares of hard won wisdom! Thank you Alexandra.
