💥 Pre-Order my Course to Build Exceptional Courses & Workshops in 2023 💥
Get my new course for a steal…
I like to joke my brother-in-law is a Dyson vacuum salesman because he’s convinced so many people to buy one.
My sister and I laugh because he describes himself as “unstoppable” when he uses his.
Jokes aside, everyone I know with a Dyson swears it’s one of the best investments they’ve ever made. They come at a hefty price with the best ones being north of $1,000 CAD.
But my friends with kids say “it’s an investment in your sanity.” One even had her dad haul one back to Montreal from Delaware (a US state I had to look up because I didn’t know where it was). Evidently, Delaware doesn’t have taxes. Enter, vacuum galore.
The point is, Dyson is the best in the vacuum game (you know you’ve crossed the thirty threshold when you start talking about the vacuum game).
On a more serious note: my goal is to make my company the Dyson of online course creation.
I’ve spent the past three years working with the best in the industry. Now, I’m ready to be the best by building a new offering of products and services that customers can’t resist selling their friends on.
To kick off this new chapter…
💥 I’m excited to announce the pre-sale is LIVE for my new self-paced course: Build a Scalable Cohort-Based Course. 💥
This course will make building a scalable course 10x easier for you. You’ll feel confident and in control as you take the minimum viable path toward your goal. You won’t need to lose sleep or agonize over common pitfalls that cause roughly 65% of course creators to abandon their mission.
Here’s a quick rundown of what you’ll get:
This is a self-paced course with (optional) live components. The pre-sale is active now and the course will be released on January 18, 2023. From that point forward, I’ll offer Weekly Office Hours + a Discord community so you can build your course autonomously and still get the best feedback.
The pricing is a steal compared to what I plan to charge in 2023. Once the course is released in January and I see a spike in demand, I will increase the price exponentially. In the meantime, I appreciate you being an early supporter of my work and will continue to make my offerings accessible to you as a first priority.
Testimonials For my Work
Here’s a glimpse of the testimonials on my course landing page. Thank you to all of you who provided one. I appreciate you.
You Don’t Need a Big Audience to Launch
For anyone reading this who’s been hesitant to launch a product or service because your audience “isn’t big enough,” let me say this: in early October, I set a goal to amass 10,000 Twitter followers by my birthday (December 1st). It was an ambitious goal considering I only had 1,000 followers at the time. But I knew I was launching my course in December and a bigger audience would attract more buyers.
I failed miserably to achieve my goal—I’m still under 2,000.
But I’ve realized it doesn’t matter. Because what I do have is lots of people referred to me saying “five people have mentioned your name to me, so I had to reach out.”
A couple of weeks ago, a friend from Montreal even said to me over coffee that she had spoken to someone in Bali who suggested me as someone to connect with (not realizing my friend and I are already acquainted).
Amassing a big audience opens a lot of doors. That’s true. But producing exceptional work behind the scenes is a necessary first step to monetizing an audience.
So don’t wait until your audience is “big enough” to start selling. You have what it takes now.
Turn Shoutouts Into Testimonials
Last week, Merott Movahedi gave me this shoutout in his newsletter:
Merott and I coached the Maven Course Accelerator together last year. He’s since pivoted his business but as his final newsletter sign-off, he redirected his audience of course creators to my newsletter.
In addition to landing me more than forty new subscribers, I was able to repurpose Merott’s shoutout into a testimonial for my course landing page (with his blessing).
So don’t get discouraged if like me, you’ve been slowly growing your social media following. Remember, testimonials that drive sales are more important to sustaining yourself as a creator or entrepreneur.

This is great, Alexandra! Does it work for those who have no idea what to teach about as well? (Asking for a friend lol). Seriously, do you also provide ways to figure this out or do students have to have this clear right off the bat?
