37th edition: How to smash your goals (by finding people to sprint with)
My podcast promoting powerhouse women in online learning has officially launched
Happy Wednesday, I hope you’re having a wonder-full week.
Back in November, I made a new friend in Montreal. The irony is I met her online—through a talk hosted by California-based writers, Julian Shapiro and Amanda Natividad. Amanda connected attendees through Slack and our Montreal Writing Crew was born from there.
Since then, we’ve expanded to a party of three, and our accountability system has evolved to include two-week “sprints” in which we focus on tackling key projects.
The beauty of being in the same city is we get to meet up at inspiring co-working spaces. Our latest was Crew Collective & Café in Old Montreal—an iconic neighbourhood characterized by cobblestone streets that date back to the 17th century. We even rented out a proper meeting room. Classy, right?
Since my foray into self-employment, I’ve realized the key to smashing your goals is finding people to sprint with. I mean that twofold. You can either:
Work with peers to design individual sprints for separate projects, then support each other through them (like I’m doing with Montreal Writing Crew).
Collaborate with clients or teammates on a sprint for a shared project (like I’m doing with Bunch.ai—more on this exciting project to come).
Either way, find people to sprint with and you’ll be unstoppable.
CHALLENGE: Think of a goal you’ve been wanting to set (course-related or otherwise). Now, think of one or two people you could “sprint” with to make it a reality.

⭐️ Course building 101 (episode 1 of my podcast)
Today, I’m launching my first podcast episode to promote powerhouse women in the online learning space—and pumping out course-building tips in the process.
My first guest is Katherine Roan, a former high school teacher and ed-tech cofounder turned course-building coach. Katherine and I became fast friends through Maven’s course accelerator back in September, and I’ve been blown away by the impact she’s had on hundreds of entrepreneurs and creators ever since.
Watch our conversation below for insights on:

CHALLENGE: Help promote powerhouse women in the online course space. If you or a woman you know would like to be a podcast guest, hit reply and I’ll set it up.
Thanks for reading. I appreciate you being one of my first 183 subscribers. If you have any feedback or suggestions for future editions, I would love to hear from you.
Have a wonder-full week,
